I Saw Myself as an Owl in a Past Life Regression | The Lessons I learnt

Have you ever felt someone else’s pain so strongly that it almost feels like it belongs to you?

I’ve experienced that for years.

Even when I tried setting boundaries or practicing mindfulness, I’d still end up carrying other people’s emotions.

I started to wonder if there was something deeper behind it.

That curiosity led me to try past life regression—a guided process that helps you explore memories or impressions beyond your current life, or simply the deeper layers of your mind.

I went in with one intention: show me why I’m so sensitive to other people’s pain.

The Experience

During the session, something unexpected happened.

I looked down and didn’t see human feet.

Instead, I saw dark claws.

Gradually the image became clearer: I was a barn owl, brown and white feathers catching the night light.

My guide asked me to find my home.

There I saw a female owl with two small chicks.

When I sensed who the female was, I recognized her energy—it was my brother from this life.

That was surprising, but also strangely comforting.

Then I witnessed a moment that stayed with me.

One bright day, the chicks were gone.

My partner was flying in circles, grieving deeply.

I wasn’t attached to the chicks themselves, but watching her pain was overwhelming.

I felt helpless.

And that feeling—the deep ache when someone I care about is suffering—was instantly familiar.

It’s the same sensitivity I carry today.

The Understanding

Whether this was a literal past life or a way for my subconscious to speak in symbols doesn’t matter as much as the insight it brought.

It showed me that some of the emotions we hold might come from places we can’t explain in ordinary ways.

Since then, I’ve been learning to stay compassionate without losing my own balance.

I can care deeply and still remain steady, which means I can truly support others instead of being swept away.

If You Explore Past Life Regression

If you ever have a regression experience yourself, my advice is simple: take time to contemplate it.

Don’t rush to label it or search for quick answers.

Sit with the images and feelings.

The more you reflect, the more the meaning reveals itself—often in quiet, unexpected ways.

Our inner world is vast, and sometimes what we discover isn’t just a story—it’s guidance.

If you’ve been wondering why certain emotions feel bigger than this life, maybe there’s more to your story too.

And if you’d like support in exploring those deeper layers, I’d be happy to talk with you about regression therapy or spiritual mentoring.
